Masoomeh Kalantari
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Organizational Behavior at McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management. My research explores how organizational structures, social networks, and demographic characteristics intersect to shape employment outcomes and workplace inequality. My dissertation, “Birds of Many Feathers: Uncovering Joint Similarities and Organizational Outcomes,” examines how multiple forms of similarity jointly influence organizational dynamics.
My work has been recognized by the Academy of Management, where I was a finalist for the OMT Division Best Student Paper Award in 2025, and by the European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS), where I was a finalist for a Best Paper Award in 2024.
I was also awarded the prestigious three-year SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship - Canada’s national, merit-based doctoral fellowship, broadly equivalent to the U.S. NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.
I hold graduate degrees in Applied Economics and Architecture, which bring a multidisciplinary perspective to my approach to organizational research.
I will be on the academic job market in 2025–2026.
